Pronorm Y-Line Kitchen - White Gloss and Indigo Blue - Coventry
This project was about creating a kitchen that caters to the diverse needs of the whole family. The clients envisioned a contemporary space that could transition from a bustling hub for food preparation during the day to a serene socialising space in the evening. As part of a new extension to their home, the kitchen design needed to not only be functional and adaptable, but also blend seamlessly with the rest of the home's design.
At Alex Lee Kitchens, we are adept at crafting spaces that embody our clients' unique lifestyle and tastes. In this case, the challenge was to create a space that could fluidly transition between different functions, reflecting the rhythm of the clients' day and fostering interaction among all family members.
Designer Tip
We incorporated unique design elements to turn potential architectural obstacles into intriguing features. For instance, the support beam and stack pipe within the home, which could have been eyesores, were creatively disguised. We adorned them with indigo blue panelling and a hanging rail system, transforming them into focal points within the kitchen.
This design choice not only resolves the issue of concealing the beam and pipe but also creates a striking contrast in colour. The indigo blue offers a vibrant pop of colour against the other hues in the kitchen. By creating points of interest and injecting colour in this way, we added depth and dynamism to the space, enhancing its contemporary feel.
The final design is a testament to the way Alex Lee Kitchens takes potential challenges and turns them into distinctive design elements. This kitchen is more than just a functional space; it's a contemporary family hub, ready to adapt to the ebb and flow of daily life.
