This project was part of an extensive house renovation, with the clients expressing a clear vision for their new kitchen. They wanted to transform the long, galley-style space into a visually impactful and inviting social hub. The challenge was to create a design that optimised the elongated layout to foster interaction and conviviality, reinforcing the kitchen as the true heart of their home.

Designer Tip

One of the strategies we employed to meet our clients' vision was a mix of handleless and inset elements in the kitchen design. The handleless units offer a sleek, modern appearance, promoting a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. The inset elements, on the other hand, are a cost-effective solution that doesn't compromise on style or functionality. This combination provided a clean and contemporary finish that matched the desired visual impact while also aligning with budget considerations.

To make the kitchen an inviting space for socialising, we utilised a vibrant contrast of colours. This bold palette creates visual interest, drawing people into the space and encouraging interaction. The strategic use of colour transformed the galley layout into an inviting, dynamic social hub, achieving the visual impact our clients desired.
